 Youth Programs
Custom-Designed Adventure Experience
Our camp instructors are State of Maine certified and trained
to work in this field. We can accommodate large groups and can provide
expertise in planning outdoor adventures for large groups, i.e.,
schools, social organizations, and churches or camp programs. We
are experienced in preparing a curriculum of activities for the
participants.
Kids Canoe/Kayak Day Camp:
 Our
increasingly popular and growing Day Camp Program is geared
for children ranging in age from 8 to 12 and runs on a weekly basis
during the height of the summer months. Our ratio of supervision
is one adult to six children. Our Day Camp Program includes a full
program of canoeing/kayaking adventures along the Androscoggin River.
The Day Camp Program also features the following activities
where your children will:
- be taught all necessary skills for Canoeing/Kayaking;
- participate in supervised river runs on the Androscoggin;
- receive an introduction to "moving water" and
be taught paddling skills;
- have the opportunity to view videos of canoeing/kayaking;
- will participate in a variety of games, i.e., "Capture
the Flag";
- be introduced to the ecology and natural environment
along the river
Our program begins at 8:00 a.m and ends at 3:00 p.m. Your
child should bring a bag lunch and any snacks or drinks for the
day. For less than $25 a day, your child can have a wonderful learning
experience.
